Wordless Wednesday #12

from the back of Fougères Castle Gobelins & Mélusine towers.

Coigny Tower in between the forecourt & outer bailey.
Inside the little chapel, you'll see the St.Leonard church on the top hill from the door.
Gobelins tower is inside the inner bailey. The main keep.

One of the chamber in Mélusine tower..
it's really small & have access to the rampart of the castle.

Taken from the top of Coigny tower.

These are some of my shots, I took last Sunday.I wish, i could capture the feeling i felt when I'm inside. Unfortunately i can't, So, I'll include a link for you to know what it stood for, here in BRETAGNE.

Happy Wordless Wednesday !

  32. Thank you all.

It really makes you wonder how they live on that time & how they have structured it into a military base as well.

Dong I’m sorry as for now, I couldn’t really tell. On my brochure it didn’t speak about the perimeter of the structure. & when I was checking it on the site they have diff infos. I also would like to know. But they say that the wall is about 20 meters some say its 10 feet, which I doubt. Not so sure of the two.

The English site they have are still in reconstruction. My French is not that good.

Anyway, to those who haven’t seen a castle. I would wish that you will be seeing one in the future. The structure is overwhelming & to know more about them is like reliving an era that we only read in books. Sometimes, I spent time reading about the places I have visited, but still I do not feel adequate to tell about them nor I could express how it feels been there.

I know sometimes, i wish someone else should be on my place, perhaps they could be more helpful promoting the place.
