Hooked up with Virtual Regatta

These passed days aside from my normal sched, which I’m having difficulties on coping up. I’ve taken another more time consuming to keep me until February by playing virtual regatta.

It’s D’man fault! He was the first one, who‘s playing it, a week earlier than I. He’s also got the fever of it from his colleagues & his boss their none-stop talking about it, that made him join. From then on, He kept on checking that made me curious what it is. Then, telling me that it’s actually virtual game but it fallows the real route of the Vendée Globe; it’s a single-handed sailing yacht race around the world. That got me, too.

I didn’t start from the beginning of the race which was the 9th of Nov. I was late almost 2 weeks. And it gives a price of 10,000 Euros. I know, I won’t be qualified on winning that one. Neither the less, this game just made me gaga to a point, that I couldn’t do anything; like my studies my lessons in French or whenever I’m on my tutorial. I’m itchy to check up my boat every 5 minutes. But of course, I can’t. It would be impolite to do so, when someone just even gave me a free tutorial.

And more, when I was trying to book a hotel for us in Paris, I was looking for the one with Wi-Fi. Just imagine, a thrifty person like me would be willing to put extra to have one for a game. I was so happy that I’ve found one but they say it was booked and I don’t have time to look for another one but take what they offered, which doesn’t have at all. Consoling ourselves, that we’ll have time to drop somewhere there’s one, unfortunately, we never got the time there.

La Louvre took it all. At that moment, I was willing to scarify my game to be again in the most wonderful place like this one. Letting my children have a look of those artifacts and all. The amazed look of people surrounds us make me beam more. And I was wishing to have more energy and time to have more of it. Later, tell more about the Louvre Museum.

When we arrived at home, we immediately checked our boats. I have lost 11,000 spots. That really HURTS. And he just lost a thousand. Not fair! I’ve been working since last Monday to catch up. I was not that bad, coz I got to catch our friends. And one of them was enough afraid that he bought an options to help him navigate automatically; getting the best wind & speed he could without much work. What a CHEATER! I keep on sending him some messages like “cheater, remove that thing. I mean it or else, you‘re not our friend anymore. ". And we just continue on verbal sparring.

Now, who say we can’t be kids at this age? Anyway, the game id free; if you would like to join in click here, the more the merrier, right?

PS:
There will be another one after this. Hahahaha.... Goodness, i sound like my kids. Pardon me, this certainly one of my attacks.Pls, bear.

Astonishing offer

Whenever I received some kindness through offering me a help made me really so happy. It shows that there are still beautiful people still living and ready to extend their hand to help. On this knowledge I felt safer and content for my kids. I’m getting melodramatic here, sorry.

Anyway, I would like to thank you Janese for offering a place for me to stay in Paris. Even, I did decline it. Still, I do value your kind gesture.

We haven’t met yet. But this beautiful woman had offered me a shelter in Paris last week as quick as she knew that I’ll be going there.

Thank you again, Janese. You’re kindness is much appreciated.

PS:
To those who visited me here.
Thank you so much for the time.
There's more things to say about my being off-line for a long time, but couldn't write it down yet, later perhaps, when I’m ready to share.

Survival Instinct

In every one of us we have this instinct of survival that sometimes we didn’t know or care if it’s good for everyone’s concern. This instinct could sometimes cloud someone’s good judgment and unfortunately someone is getting hurt.

And for those merely spectators some could conclude harshly or unjustly. What more for the one in the mid of it, who happens to be in a wrong place and time. This type of situation where we are at present, regarding my eldest son’s activity.

He was not informed that the club where he is with has fewer players on his division this school year. He was asked to sign before end of school year, stating that he will continue playing there this year without informing him, that a lot have moved out or stop doing basket. Then, last summer he was informed by his friend that there will be only 2 players and he’s the second one.

So, he told us that he will be transferring back to Lannion basket ball club. He was thinking that it would be easy like last year. Then, last week D’man called the head of the club in Tregastel to ask for release documents for Julian. He also stated our reason of transferring, which is not enough players on his category and Julian doesn’t want to play with senior group. Though He really like to do it in Tregastel because it‘s nearer to our place, but he preferred to be playing with his age bracket rather than being with senior & being benched always. D’man didn’t further elaborate how unconfy it makes Julian playing with his physic prof & double size of him. (I would if I’m not doing well on his subject, mama thinking here.)As he (D’man), also expressed that we are willing to retransfer him back there, if they will have enough player on Julian’s catregory to make a team for next year.

The director was really nice at that time seeing our reasons. And told the D’man that ask Julian, if he really wants to transfer coz if it’s being in the senior makes him think; that it will make him stop playing it will not be the case, he is good. But if he still want to transfer, he‘ll do the release letter for him. We were so happy hearing it.

Then, last Wednesday D’man called back, but the old nice director had somehow become vicious & insulting. He was talking in different lingo. Saying that he will not do the release coz he will rip-off Julian’s license to play and he will never accept Julian back to his club for now or next year . Hubby was so stunned that he was lost of words, dully repeating word by word what the director told him. I was so sad at the same time mad. Coz I know how much it meant to Julian playing basket. He is almost sleeping with his ball. It is how much he loves it.

And then, it made me thinking back, when I was talking to someone in Basket ball club representative in Lannion, I was asking which paper we should provide to retransfer Julian back to their club. And if, I would get this paper will they accept him. They say yes, but in some little hint they make me think that they have some issue with the other club. Naming the director was a little bit more emphasized than normal. That made me cunningly asked; is there something that I need to be aware of? I just got a crooked smile & a short word. Was that an omen? I wander.

Then, putting words of Julian & the one from Lannion, it made me think that the one in Tregastel is just trying to have more people to sustain the club. I agree that it should not closedown too; coz there are lots of children; who lives nearby would gladly benefit having a closer basketball club to join. But unfortunately, this year & perhaps since last year; the young men preferred playing in Lannion, because it bigger club & near the secondary school where Julian attends, too. It’s easier for them to go for practice, be with friend or something.

With the club trying to survive and my child is on the midst of it. How would I react? I would have tried more to talk to Julian on staying and play with senior but the way he spoke with my husband. It seems that his instinct got better of him. D’man told me he called the other club & told how it difficult to get the necessary letter. They told him that the club in Tregastel could vote veto on Julian’s transferring.

Now, I really feel bad that one of the head of club, who should be more understanding why this people patronizing them ,because they have things in common, love of what they do there and the club represent. I'm wishing, whatever issue these clubs have should be settled soon, I would be sadder to see someone else would be in my son’s shoe.

Ready to pick up my last stride

Nearly 3 months, I haven’t posted anything because it was vacation time of my children. It was our time to visit places, enjoy outdoor activities without looking like a mummy wrapped, getting invited & having invitees at home. Those are my reasons, why I was not active in here. And I do apologize on not saying a word or two.

Now, my kids are happily backed to school. And I, back to my old couch and starts pretending that there nothing else to do (like cleaning) but sit & read. I’m thinking that it’s about time to catch up with you. I know that I have loads of readings ahead of me though, it would be a pleasure to know, what you‘ve been doing these past last months.

And to those who have visited me here; Thank you, I do appreciate it so much.

Forgetful as my new adjective

I’ve been racing these past few months. I always felt that I’m always behind of my need to do list & all. Sometimes, I even forget some of my appointments. I know, I should just write them down. And I do BUT I always misplaced my agenda book. If not for Lareine , sometimes I would have forgotten to pick up my kids in the school on the right time or miss some of my appointments. I make sure that she is aware of them(my rdv) coz she can remember them than I. and she’s so kind to remind me. See, how lucky I am to have a great friend like her.

It was last two or three weeks that I have messed up the birthdays of my friends’ kids. And I assure you; this is not the first time. I ended up whining over the phone to her (Lareine), forcing her to spit out my weekly schedule and at the same time, really hoping that I have read her my agenda which I even didn’t write myself , it was Brigette, one of the mom friend here who wrote it for me. So, I won’t be mixed up & accept another engagement on the same date & time.

Even D’man was so much astonished that I ended up committing myself to two events at the same date & me not even aware of. Yes, that much! Understandable that it makes him worry coz i'll drag him on it. And seeing his wife, getting stressed up is too much for him to handle.I'm a handful, by the way.

But believe me, I’m more ashamed, how I become so forgetful lately. My reddening becoming my usual blusher and it’s not cute. Me explaining, how I messed up & hoping if we could rearrange something. Luckily, my blushing and stammering do the trick, I’ve been forgiven. And now, they put it on group mail & make me swear that I look at them.

The funniest is my kids would ride on this issue by saying,"but Mama, you don’t have the power of Naruto, (it’s a Japanese cartoon). He can have multi-clone and you don’t have any.” Good point, right?

PS: If anyone of you will say that it’s a sign of ageing.
Here’s my answer, I’M NOT HEARING YOU. I'm just stress.

I'm back and disoriented.

Almost 2 weeks, I wasn’t able to do blogging & even hopping to my favorite bloggers. I was and still tied up with many things to attend to like preparing parties for Sophia & Gabriel, doing invitation cards, clearing out the mess in our house which I never succeeded on doing so, attending parties & helping them their preparation, visiting friends and so on.

And whenever I tried to write something, I seems too disoriented to put my phrases right. Now, I’m blocked. Sorry…. Perhaps by hopping & getting updated will help me out putting my ducklings on line.

Thanks for your visits even I was not that active. I do appreciate it.
Cheers!

Receiving with pleasure

I really feel so lucky to have some beautiful people around me. Last week was not the first time, when my neighbor has been so generous on giving us some of his catch. This… Araignée literally means spider, this crab is commonly called here. We have them here in our coast and it’s time to fish them. We also have to respect the size which is 12cm and 500g in minimal. You can’t fish so much if you don’t have license to anchor your trap, if I’m not mistaken.

He was a sailor before, so you could understand why he still loves to stay on the sea and fish as his leisure. When he caught a lot, he often gives us. To have some fresh fish and crab, here is like a luxury coz they are really expensive having them daily in your table is something. Not, like when we are in Philippines, we could afford to indulge ourselves.

And we know why, the freshness nowadays is hard to find, even to some people. Not funny to say, Sorry. I mean the attitude or character not physically on referring to people. Another slip, going back to my track, That makes it worth more than the frozen ones. Here, there are load of frozen fish you could get from the grocery. Some are even pre-cooked or prepared one. Meaning, you just need to put them in your pan or microwave. And voila, done.

It’s handy for the people who doesn’t have time to prepare their meal or to those who doesn’t really cook, On the box or packaging, you’ll see how it’s being prepare from 1, 2, 3… and you could only add some little leafy to put it as yours. I personally don’t patronize them. They are not worth for what it cost.

Oh my, I’m blundering again. Going back to him, he has been given a chance to see some part of Asia. So, to him; we are his reminder of his voyage. Sometimes, we spend talking over our wall with his wife. They are all retiree; I think they are around 70’s now. But I’m so impressed how they are so active. I would be puffing working around my garden but them… not at all. They would even offer me their hand to help me, when they see that I can’t cope up with my chores.

They are just an example of people that I have been grateful to have around me. They have given me more than that, they gave us friendship and as I’m happy to receive that warm bonding they have extended to us. I’m receiving them with pleasure.

Layers of crêpe:As intro

Crêpe is Bretagne (Brittany), I would playfully say, because it’s where it originates this thin pancake. It is known that the best crêpe in France is in this region. It is geographically situated northwest of France; one of its 26 regions. This region was once been free and one of the Celtic nations. The net would provide you greater information about it.

Here, I’m just imparting my personal experiences as a foreigner living here. I’m using crêpe as a title for there is so much to appreciate with this simple pancake made of wheat flour, butter, eggs, milk and a pinch of salt. It also can be served as your main meal or just a dessert. It is my personal connotation as BRETAGNE.

For years living here, I have been clicking my camera like a tourist (don’t take this bad) and I’m glad that I have not let it rest only to that. As I took my own pace to slowly acclimate myself. Though, I didn’t stop observing even with a glass barrier on my window. And the more, I see and sometimes mingle make me feel more at home. You’ll know later why.

Hope, this vague little intro would keep you following my layers of crêpe.

Love of Jap

Just last weekend, we went to Rennes to get our provision of Asian condiments & our staple food like rice and Asian noodles. Going there took us 2 hrs drive from our place. I assure you I make the most of it. Imagine, I’m doing my provision like there will be calamity coming, so I stock up.

Though, I’m shy to show you how my storage room looks like; you’ll think that I have a mini grocery. Now, I feel like justifying my action with the cost of gas now and finding time to go there is enough, plus our craving for Asian foods.

Going back on buying, I was shock how the prices increase, the usual Thai rice of 22.75 Kls. /50 Lbs. would normally cost 28 gone up to 38 euro and the Jap rice of 10kls. became so expensive, they are usually more expensive than the Thai. This time I have to stop thinking of its price & just grab a sack. This is what I normally do in that store.

Anyway, I need to have them for my makis. I do my own, even we could buy them in the supermarket, and I still don’t buy them. My reasons are they have been prepared for a long time and expensive for what it is. I meant the taste. I once tasted the commercial one & it made me cry. People, who know me, would understand how I get upset with food if it’s below my expectation and more I paid for it. Don’t laugh, that’s me. I’m trying to cure this.

I have been appreciating Jap food since early 80’s, when they started having some chain of restos in Philippines. And I have passed them to my kids & husband. I could fairly cook up some of their plates; it may not be as good as authentic done by a Japanese chef but enough to stir some gourmand friends here. Recently, it has been one of their requested dish.

We do potluck also here. When you’re invited to some gathering, you bring a/some plates. This is not compulsory, but it’s a way to help lessen the burden of the one who’s making the party for not letting enslaved them in food preparation. Sometimes, you’re requested to do something particular. It’s normal that they don’t request me with French cuisine coz they could do it.

My god, I sound like a bragger. Pardon me. Food can really make me so talkative.

Wordless Wednesday #10

Living near the beach has so many things to do. Here, is one of our outlets to enjoy it. We do pêche à pied(fish by foot) .Our favorite spot is L’ile Grande where we know that we could have some Coque(Cockle) and Palourde(Carpet-Shell or Manila clam).A 5 to 8 Minutes drive from our house.

Last Sunday is our first for this year. And it’s always rewarding to hear the excitement of the kids screaming when they found some clams. Teasing who could have the biggest catch. And us(parents), just enjoying the feel of the water on our feet as we rake the sand to see the cockles roll for picking.

After our pêche, all of us enjoying it as our entrée. I don't know, but i think it's the best clam we've eaten this year.
Happy Wordless Wednesday to all!

Soirée de Conte

Last Tuesday-The kids are really expecting that day. The Parents' association had organized a “Soirée de Conte en Pyjamas” (storytelling night in pajamas). Our two little ones have different timing, one for the maternal and another for the elementary students. So, we have arranged it with some parent to pick up the boys & D’man has to bring Sophia & Delphine and watch with them.

As expected, the kids were so amazed with the narrator and have been mimicking his lines and actions on how he delivered his stories. The light on their eyes as they recounted was so much to grasp without you cracking a smile. My kids were having the best of their times, on that i could tell. And so is the man of this shack was so impressed how the night went well. He was even interjecting some missing lines the kids have omitted unconsciously.

Sophia after her narrating the stories she heard, she told me “Mama, every word I told you the man say its all true, you may check them in the dictionary, he said. Really believe me.” Plus she has this wide assuring eyes staring at me and punctuated her lines with a nod.

Now, you think it’s wise to laugh? Or just smile, like I’ve ended up doing & affirmed that what he had told them are true. I could find the words in the dictionary.

Our first kayaking this year.

It felt so good to be on it again. & more my 6 years old daughter is getting interested in it. The two of us paddled near the Château de Costaéres. She started telling me that we should do it together always and she's not afraid coz I’m there. Don’t I just feel like a winner on that?

Happy Wordless Wednesday to all of you.

Ps:This photo was taken after. Around 8:30PM we decided to stop coz it was going low tide.

My lucky charm

We know that May 1 is a Labor Day. Here, they have another tradition that people do on that day. They give sprig of Muguet and commonly known as "Lily of the Valley” as a lucky charm, which started from the time of King Charles IX of France, as he received one. And also it’s a symbol of springtime.

In custom, as you receive one, you should give a kiss in return, which is likely you’ll do, when you know the meaning of the flowers name is - You will find happiness.

Last Friday, I have some little visitors, Sophia’s friends & mine, too. How can I not say they are mine, too? When they always declared that I’m their best friend. So, one of our little best friend gave me these flowers which I’m showing now. She is Delphine, a little girl with a radiating smile. Her gist always give me reason to see life is good.

Now, it may not be May 1, but I’m still sharing this to all of you and wish the meaning of the flower will give you what we often seek for… Happiness and i hope, this will serve you as your charm too.

Meeting her,at last.

Last Sunday we were not having the best weather but it had been compensated by meeting a long time friend from email to phone pal. You must be wondering why only now that I speak about our meeting. I don’t know, too. All I know, I’m so happy to see the person that I’ve been trying to visualize for a long time. She really stood up like the one I’ve on my head. I’m so grateful on meeting a family like hers. They are so nice and no negativities. Life flows so smoothly on them. Until now, her laughter still rings on my head which makes me smile. And the nicest thing is I can really envision her doing it with the right facial expression. Like normal, I’m so overwhelm that I can’t find the right words to describe how I felt on meeting them. What about this…

“Maraming salamat sa pan de sal at sa oras na binigay ninyo sa amin. Napaganda ninyo ang pangit na panahon at naging bukang-bibig ang mga pangalan ninyo sa loob ng bahay at may kasamang ngiti sa pagbigkas nito.”

Sorry, I will not translate this one up. This is for her. Anyway, last weekend is one of our best weekends, from sunny Saturday to a Sunday smile. Wish to see you again. Anytime you want to visit here, you & your family are most welcome & it will be our pleasure to show you around. As I promised, I’ll bring your little one to the beach and fish out some clams or take him out to pick some wild berries as he likes.

Pardon with my playfulness on the photo. I’m practicing how to do collage. Anyway, I’m sure you have heard about this Basilica of the Sacré Cœur in Montmartre as one of the landmarks in Paris.

Happy WW to all!

This Gargoyle with frozen water on his mouth is a part of the church; where the water from the gutter normally flows out from its mouth, but froze came.

Heat is on at Sat.

Last Saturday, we were so blessed with sun’s heat. Everyone was wearing their Christmas smile, as we went along doing our normal morning course of buying our provision for the week. Crossing with people with a beaming smile with a joyous greeting just make you thinks its holiday.

Weather really plays a great deal with people in this part. At 20°C and not much wind again, just stir up this merriment feeling to every soul. This lighter feeling went down to wearing a lighter clothes just makes you feel more carefree.

As we set aside the weekend cleaning & decided to go to the beach. We were a bit disappointed for every one seem going to the same direction, can’t fault them, because Trébeurden’s beach is facing south. Its better heated beach we have around here.

As we go Mary-go-round to a parking lot to find a space for us. Guess what? We didn’t find one. But I was feasting on all the vintage cars being showcased at this time. Yes, when summer hits, these beauties are parading on the street. Who can blame them? They are really a collector’s dream.

I’m not normally into car but those types, they’re just eye catching. Unfortunately, I forget to take some photos of it. Next time, they will be having a car show again. I’ll be geared to take snap shots. As they often does it near our house.

Anyway, we abandoned the idea to be a beach bum for a day. Then, we drove along the coastline and to the little villages nearby revisited the stone hedges and old chapels. It was worth seeing again as always, though D’man was not that much enthusiastic to do it, but nice enough to drive me around as I navigate our trip.

So to all who have visited my blog. Sorry that I wasn’t able to revisit you on that day. But we really needed this weather so much to uplift us from our long gloomy days. As you can see, I’m babbling again, it shows how happy I was. I know that it may sound lime to you having this excuse. We were not as blessed with sun as much as most of you have. Am I forgiven, now?

almost like SUMMER...

I’m on my third day spending some time outside. Even with my weary eyes due to lack of sleep, I still can’t stop wandering and feeling good on having a lazy walk and stare at each flower gracing my little garden. I was removing some bad grass in my plots & checking if my plants have survive with the drastic change of climate and to see the little beauties sprouts just assured me that it would be a beautiful this coming summer. This priceless notion is overwhelming.

Today, It’s 15°c with less wind & some blue sky are something to be grateful I still could just sit in the mid of it & stared back at what I was able to do there. I’ve mowed it last week, it was a battle coz the grass reach almost or more than 2 feet. And according to the weatherman last week, we’ll have a couple of good sunny days within a week. He was so right this time. Reason, I was whining the last time about the gray sky & rain, I felt like a child being deprive of a toy.

So, on first day, waited to have it a bit dry and the next day, I mowed it. It was really pain taking to do it with a little mower. I was swearing through breathe and reminded myself that it’s a good reason to change it to a bigger one. And I started forming my arguments to D’man while I continue on mowing. At the end, I was grateful to see it cut and looking spacious now. It’s not that clean cut, but better than before. Though, my arms screamed for some muscle pain reliever.

Yesterday, I’ve mown again. It was easier as expected. Now, the trimming of borders and plants need to be done. Not to forget, I need to tend on my strawberry patch, they are promising me something to harvest. My fruit trees are having their flowers too; not expecting to get some fruit but the idea that they are still alive is enough for now. My herbs also are in shape… gliding my hands to them give me this aromatic smell that says … Heaven.

Sorry, if I sound like I'm walking in the moon. But having this pleasure to tend some plants gives me this feeling that I can’t get from any shops. I’m not a pro gardener though, I’m learning little by little. And the best of it, I’m enjoying every step. I should also be grateful that I’m granted with a green thumb as the people here were saying.

Now got to go, & get my hands dirty… hope you are doing the things that you love to do. I would love to hear them, too. Have a great weekend to all of you.

Weekend @ Vitré

We passed our weekend with our friends at Vitré near Rennes in Bretagne (Brittany). Seeing the new haven of Yann and Ludivine was really great and more to it, Morvan and Hélène was there, too. - These two couples always do visit us, when they visit their parents as they further took their way to go to our place. We been always reminded to visit their place and have some feasting with them. Our reason was our old trolley but now that we have a new one. These past dues need to be paid back. As they knew, we are having three little monsters in towed. They have set a day out for them, too.

When we arrived the fête were rolling… from bonjour to handing apéros (Drink before meal) & kids recounting their history of preparation to go there & what they brought to mess-up the place, to how much they were so excited to play there was enough to warm the place. These couples, they’ve been so great to have patience hearing the endless recounts of Sophia and Gabriel. Then as Yann have been so wise showing them (kids) the games they have. Everyone was so much attentive to every word Yann told them, to have their hands on the games.

We three couple started chatting along with our apéro while we’re waiting our dinner. Everything went so smoothly and the meal was as always great, "Ludi you’ve done it again." Then after we settled the little ones, as we have planned to go out and check the bars as they live in the center of Vitré. We were having our time to discover & its night life. We were impressed how much they have in there, in comparison to ours. As we drink out night away… I can’t help admiring the city walking back to their apartment.

The old Ville just so great to see it in paved stone alley & old houses with exposed timbers panels in it façade, with some baroque painting, it called maison à colombage here. I’ve always get fascinated with this type of structural design. I never get enough of it… love staring at every detail, even some are on the way of getting ruined. They are so beautiful.

The boys have stayed sometime doing their thing, playing wii & guitar while we (girls) dozed in our designated rooms. Then, morning comes after our breakfast we took off to the park for the kids. Then see the castle there & passed to the cathedral and so on.

But what this weekend so really great, we do it altogether. The two couples have been wonderful as always. Unconsciously, they were playing to be parents to our kids. And as I’ve told them at the end, they passed with flying colors. We are surely blessed to have good friends here. "On a passé un bon weekend, grâce à vous. Encore, merci beaucoup à vous (YANN, LUDIVINE, MORVAN & HELENE). À la prochaine."

Stagnated by choice or not?

“Stagnated we are, but why? We always wait for the tide to come and carry us away, when we could have walked away. >>> Because we made our choice, here we stay or times, we disembark and go.”

Today the weather is in normal state, meaning rain, wind & gray= coldness. Perhaps, you find me sounding redundant. But it’s the fact here. As much as, we love our paysages (sceneries) we have to accept the bad side of living near the coast, specially this coastline. Sometimes, we couldn’t help hating the wetness & grayish aura that we often have to accommodate daily in our lives. The climate change really had done us all. The normal suffering has been prolonged. Not cool at all.

Now, it supposed to be Spring, we should have been outside doing our garden & walking around the coast before the tourist comes. Or I should be starting to remodel the rooms before my paint dries. But no, we are locked up inside the house and lost the motivation of revamping the rooms. And more, I’m tied to do some little indoor activities for the kids to avoid getting bored on their spring vacation.

The long weekend plan to go to England seems getting slimmer due to the weather and we’re lacking of time to book our travels. More on, D’man wants to take the road trip going there. So, long weekend won’t be sufficient to have the visiting we planned. So, I decided to stop looking for ferry’s fare. This needs rescheduling.

What left us is to pray to have decent weather to bring the kids to another region here. Discovering with them would surely be the best way to see more of France. So, where to? We have Loads of pending “I owe you a visit” to our friends.

Even last weekend we did start repaying visit. It was really great. We were blessed with good companies and beautiful sunny Sunday-Our medicine, to sustain what we have now.

Wordless Wednesday #6

Château de Costaéres , this Castle is in an islet. When low tide you can actually walk going there. When you walk through the coastline of Ploumanc'h to Trégastel you'll see it. This photo taken from Tourony beach at Trégastel.

My last entry was the lighthouse of Ploumanc’h, if you look at the other side of it the castle you’ll see. One reason that this is a touristic spots here in Bretagne due to the pink granite coastline and the castle just the icing of it.

I can’t be bore having this view. The tides & temperamental climates give it ethereal illustration. We always have been proud to show off this place to every friend who visits us.

An ado( adolescent), he is...

I been reviewing his video that he took last Feb. They have an excursion in Paris for their history class. I think it was four day including travel time. We, d’man & I were so excited for him to do the visitings there, seeing the land marks & more… I told him to bring our video cam but he wanted only to have a small numerical cam, I have. He doesn’t want bulky one to walk around.

Then, he arrived at home from the trip; he was buzzing us up with his stories. Everyone was paying every detail to what he was saying and we waited for him to give us how he finds the historical spots there. It only comes like a preposition to his phrases. But how could we be mad or disappointed on seeing him so happy saying the little details they did there with his friends.

The mumbling is so normal Julian to us, sharing every tiny bit of his escapade. That makes us so happy because he still confides to us. This is one of the moments that we often have a pleasure to know what our kids feel & think, they gave it to us freely by themselves. Secret seems doesn’t exist to them.

D’man was amazed how our kids could not be so unguarded and they have no personalizing things or being private, everything is for sharing. According to him, it’s not their way here. This is one of the reason, other parents here adored our children because of their unusual traits as they put it.

Anyway, going back to Julian’s videos. We couldn’t help but laugh… and understand that he is really a young man now; his discovering Paris was the way when we were our teens, and perhaps I’m speaking for me & D’man. How he (Julian) does his video & choice of songs just exhibited to us that soon this young person would be away from us.

D’man was saying, we have to travel again all together and most of all, to cherish those moments. Before he goes to university, coz we only have 3 more years to have him always with us. Who could argue on that? He is actually enjoying on playing with him on his baby-foot & electronic gadgets. Yes, got 2 adolescents in the house sometimes. I felt like I’m the only adult in the house, granted that I’m the eldest one here. That doesn’t need to be rubbing on me either.
