Burn out

I’ve been lure by the sun outside but I can’t do anything about it. Thinking of mowing, but knowing that it’s still wet and our toy mower would not be able to cut the grass properly. And more, I have pressing thing to do, like slicing meat for kikiam. I’m trying to avoid getting frustrated and finish all the requested dishes that I need to do for a friend’s birthday party.

Yes, they like kikiam (chinese dish). It’s a click to everyone, who has tasted it here. To a point that they keep on complimenting me that really makes me so uncomfy, would makes me wish to be invisible at that moment. One time, I even went under the table to hide. I’m so bad on receiving them (compliments). Though, I’m truly happy that they appreciate it, to a point on requesting to have it in every occasion.

Now, I’m starting to get bored on doing it. I feel so bad, can’t seems cut a meat. Hope by writing it down it would help me want to do it. I only got a day. However, I have done the other request already. There are 2 more to go. Sorry to bore you people.

Weekend wrapped

As much as, we want to be more organized with our weekend rooster, we can’t. There is always something popping up, up to the last minute. Our weekend seems been booked from 3 weeks before up to the last five minutes from the current time when our visitor/s’ arrival; some invitations and to top it off with, our ritual of buying our provisions for the week but looks like for weeks and of course, minor cleaning in our house.

And not to forget, we are family of five plus my little Sally (dog), it is normal something coming up, like kids’ activities and their invitees. Most important of all, our movie time- we all love-watching films together, looking like some sardines in a sofa. Then, teasing each other as if we were all in the same age. This is one of our moments as family time, which we have promised that we will never let go.

With these, we are always trying to have extra stuffs in our pantry. So, it won’t be a hassle to think about what to serve to keep the moment rolling. And when we have our visitors at home. It’s better not to worry about what to put on the table. Because there’s always a need of catching up with updates or simply enjoy the night with them.Or to bring some picka food when we are invited.

Now, I’m thinking, I haven’t had a solemn weekend for a long time, not that I’m complaining. But …but…but… I don’t know, how to cope up with my agenda now, feeling that I can’t command my days any longer. “I’m wrapped up!” This is a tired me talking. Gonna be ok soon, a self-consolation. “Yeah, right. Dream on!”

What's your Dinner?

How I've tried not to start talking about food here... and now getting tag about it. Nevertheless, I should apologize to Rojoy, who have passed me this tag. Which it took me awhile to post it. I felt like explaining here. "Sorry, hear me please."

The time I found out she had tagged me. I was cooking our dinner as well for a friend surprise party. On the next day it was the party, then the day after some best friends visited us and lastly my little princess got sick. In Case that you wanna know, she's getting better. Hopefully I could throw her back to sch this Thursday.

For those who doesn't know and doesn't care to know, I'm basically a slave in my kitchen. Its one of my diversion to escape becoming a loony. What? No, nothing fancy cooking. (How I wish!) I'm more like an experimentalist. Luckily, I have a lot of guinea pigs around me. Be rest assured, No one yet get hospitalized.I swear.

Before I go further down the lane & talk more none senses. Let you have a peek on our plate. It was just a simple scallop with fresh cream dashed with apple cider vinegar serve with steamed rice and a salad.

For me, its one of the best way to serve a fresh scallop. A quick pan fry with a semi-salted butter do the trick. I don't mind opening the shell by myself, but I can't stand to feel its' “pulse” when I place it on the pan. Feel so bad.

I've yap so long, let me pry to your dinner plate Liza, Sheila, Mem and Farah.
