almost like SUMMER...

I’m on my third day spending some time outside. Even with my weary eyes due to lack of sleep, I still can’t stop wandering and feeling good on having a lazy walk and stare at each flower gracing my little garden. I was removing some bad grass in my plots & checking if my plants have survive with the drastic change of climate and to see the little beauties sprouts just assured me that it would be a beautiful this coming summer. This priceless notion is overwhelming.

Today, It’s 15°c with less wind & some blue sky are something to be grateful I still could just sit in the mid of it & stared back at what I was able to do there. I’ve mowed it last week, it was a battle coz the grass reach almost or more than 2 feet. And according to the weatherman last week, we’ll have a couple of good sunny days within a week. He was so right this time. Reason, I was whining the last time about the gray sky & rain, I felt like a child being deprive of a toy.

So, on first day, waited to have it a bit dry and the next day, I mowed it. It was really pain taking to do it with a little mower. I was swearing through breathe and reminded myself that it’s a good reason to change it to a bigger one. And I started forming my arguments to D’man while I continue on mowing. At the end, I was grateful to see it cut and looking spacious now. It’s not that clean cut, but better than before. Though, my arms screamed for some muscle pain reliever.

Yesterday, I’ve mown again. It was easier as expected. Now, the trimming of borders and plants need to be done. Not to forget, I need to tend on my strawberry patch, they are promising me something to harvest. My fruit trees are having their flowers too; not expecting to get some fruit but the idea that they are still alive is enough for now. My herbs also are in shape… gliding my hands to them give me this aromatic smell that says … Heaven.

Sorry, if I sound like I'm walking in the moon. But having this pleasure to tend some plants gives me this feeling that I can’t get from any shops. I’m not a pro gardener though, I’m learning little by little. And the best of it, I’m enjoying every step. I should also be grateful that I’m granted with a green thumb as the people here were saying.

Now got to go, & get my hands dirty… hope you are doing the things that you love to do. I would love to hear them, too. Have a great weekend to all of you.

I loved tending my garden too while living in Holland. It gave me so much pleasure to see my tulips emerge from the ground during early spring.
I was not that great either but I enjoyed what I was doing. I think that is the most important thing in our life, be able to enjoy what we do and what we have.

I have an award for you;)
